Coach Vickery showed highlight film of the Trojan win over Theodore in the first round of the playoffs. The final score was 41-19 for a strong win. Coach indicated the team enjoyed a good week of practice and believed they could win going into the game. The team was healthy for the game. Coach complimented the boys on the effort and the execution which made the win possible.
Coach thanked the parents and supporters in attendance for their encouragement and perseverance throughout the season. He indicated the team was in preparation for a tough game against a strong Fairhope team on Friday. The cancellation of school on Monday and Tuesday required flexibility in practice times. There have been challenges associated with weather and field conditions but the team is preparing hard and looking forward to a win against Fairhope. After Friday’s win, the Trojan will be up against the winner of the Auburn vs. Wetumpka game and that game will be planned at Trojan field.
The Coach indicated full support of the community prep rally on Thursday evening and looked forward to encouraging the team and they prepare for the very important Friday night game. Tickets will be available in the school office on Thursday and Friday.
Coach Vickery introduced Coach Mike Vickery who explained his efforts in video work and preparation of recruiting DVD to promote our players. He thanked the QBC for providing video, computer equipment and duplication equipment which makes the production of this important recruiting information possible. Coach Vickery prepares and mails a highlight DVD at least twice per year to some 250 plus colleges. Additionally, highlights are provided to several online sites for reviewing for recruiting
