Trojan Football Season -ARE YOU READY!!!!

Looks like another great year for Daphne High School Trojan Football!!!

What an exciting time for the students, faculty and community! First we would like to welcome everyone back from summer vacation and a big welcome to the freshmen (don't worry it gets better) and a BIG congratulations to all the Seniors!!!

Everyone including parents, coaches, players and cheerleaders are ready to get the season started and enjoy some football excitement!!!

So let us get straight to business...First a big "Trojan Hello" to the additional schools in Region 2 this season. As you know the region(s) were realigned at the end of last season, which gave us three new neighbors (actually maybe we joined them) providing depth and excitement to Friday night football. So the new Region (Region 2) is made up of 8 teams: Enterprise, Foley, Northview, Dothan, Robertsdale, Fairhope, Baldwin County and the TROJANS!!! This year Dothan and Enterprise will come be our guest at Jubilee Stadium, so make sure you give them a big friendly welcome and we always hope to send the visitors home with a loss, but with a smile on their face!!!

Next on the information board: The Trojans vs. Toros game!!!

This will be a great game for all of us to enjoy and besides the National TV part (wave to grandma) this is a outstanding community game. Daphne and Spanish Fort are separate towns, but we all play, work, and in some cases go to church together. Most of us have even been on the same teams at one time or another so this game is good old fashion backyard ball. I know both teams respect each other and are really looking forward to it!!!!  We will all have fun and the two communities will enjoy the excitement. The game is scheduled on National ESPN TV on Labor Day (Sept 3) at 3pm. The Toro's will have home field and yes parking will be entertaining in itself but that's a part of football!!

Talking about TV!! This year there are 3 televised games on the DHS Trojan Schedule, one of them is the Toro's game and the other two scheduled are the Lions (Foley at home 9/14) and Pirates (Fairhope at home 10/19) which makes for a very exhilarating season. If you have not bought your season tickets yet...time is running out!!!

We would like to give a BIG Thank You!!! to all the sponsors for their financial and product support in our athletic community!!! We recognize that the sponsors sometimes get overwhelmed with all the "please help" while trying to manage their business. But the efforts our community puts forth towards the DHS football program and all the other athletic programs is greatly, greatly appreciated!!  DHS Trojan Football truly could not be successful without the efforts of business and community!

Talking fundraising...ekkk?

Big Thanks!!! Goes out to the City of Daphne and the "Taste of the Eastern Shore"...This event raises money for many of the athletic programs at DHS and as sold out every year for the past few years. Fabulous restaurants from the local area donate their time, resources and great attitude towards the efforts of raising money for HS sports. Everyone always has a great time with plenty of food, drink, dancing and the occasional embarrassing photo? There are anywhere from 30 to 50 restaurants supporting numerous athletic programs at DHS and we truly appreciate each and every one of them. Thank You All!!!

This year you can check the website for breaking news, game scores, highlights from the stands, player profiles (posted next week), meet the seniors (yes next week) and much, much more!! The newest schedule is printable here! Thanks to the efforts of the coaching staff and others you can see live game video and tape on

Now it's time to be Loud, Proud and Purple!!!
